Is WoW Being Dumbed-Down?

Mike Schramm from WOW Insider asks for the Breakfast Topic: Is the game being dumbed-down?

Patch 2.3 brought many changes, like ‘glittering’ quest objects, exclamation points on your map, faster leveling, etc. In essence, Blizzard was telling us, “We want you to get to the higher-end content faster!” The next patch will bring us mounts at level 30, to make leveling even easier. BT: What Was Your Biggest AH Sale?

Posted by: Kibibi   in Breakfast Topic

Today’s breakfast topic from my favorite blog, WoW Insider, “What Was Your Biggest Auction House Sale?

Ah yes, the auction house. When I first started playing WoW, I knew about the AH, and I sold a couple items on there, but I didn’t really understand it. It wasn’t really until I loaded Auctioneer, my very first add-on, that I really started to use the AH. After that, the money started rolling in to fund my professions and procuring of shiny purple objects. I quickly learned that most of your money will come from materials you get from various sources, but every so often, you could make a big chunk by selling those rare world drops.

So what was the biggest sale I ever made? I can remember two, but I can’t for the life of me remember the names of the items, nor the exact amount I made. What I do remember though, is that they were sold for well over 500 gold. (Which to me at the time, was pretty darn impressive!) One was a twink zone drop in the Wetlands, the other was some sword that dropped in Outland.
