Yeah… did you watch that video? Obviously cute and funny, I posted it because it’s like looking at some WoW players waiting for Wrath. (OK, I’ll admit it… I’m one of them!) Blizzard is getting the food game ready, and we players can smell it coming! They temp us with a few new features getting to us a bit earlier, and we go crazy wanting it to hurry up and get down to our level! Read the rest of this entry »

Prepping For Patch 3.x
I usually don’t post videos of in-game footage, especially beta. However, I thought this one by Big Red Kitty deserved to be shown. Of course, come Wrath, hunters will be able to tame all sorts of ‘exotic’ pets. So far, the biggest is this bad boy; the rhino! It’s… massive. I mean, there really is no other way to describe it. I know a lot of us have hunter alts, and being able to tame exotic pets like this huge rhino would be a, ‘massive’ incentive to dust them off again.
Beta, Overload!

Well, I haven’t written a few blogs in a few days. Some of that has to do with work, but a good portion also has to do with the fact that there’s an information-overload on the Wrath beta at the moment. Almost every single new post from WOW Insider is about another tidbit of information. Oh, I read almost all of it, but writing about it can be daunting, since there’s so many changes! One of our required mods for the guild, is Group Calendar. It allows everyone in the guild to plan events, instance runs, raids, whatever. (And thankfully, also tracks profession cool-downs.) Well, there’s a new beta of Wrath, and Blizzard gave us a wonderful gift: and in-game calendar system! Will this mean the end of Group Calendar? So far, it appears that it tracks game events like the Darkmoon Faire. According to WOW Insider, there’s also a way for users to add their own events and share them with others. (Like setting up instance/raid runs.) Read the rest of this entry »

There’s something new coming in Wrath, something I think will make people very happy: linking your entire recipe book. Yes, no longer will you have to say what you have. You can now link your entire book anywhere in chat, and have any player look through your list. It’s a nice change, and I know it will make a lot of people, especially in my guild, very happy. With all of my energy going into the Raiding! series recently, I admit I haven’t really been focusing on other topics. Of course, the beta for Wrath was released last night for Europe (soon for us too.) Yesterday, I missed a bit of news released by Blizzard that was talked about before; Achievements. In essence, achievements are kind of like recognition in the game for doing any number of different things. (And I do mean any number.) Tasks like giving 20 hugs, defeating every opposing race in PvP, exploring every inch of the worlds that you can, etc. It may sound stupid, but it’s something that’s just got me tickled! Wrath Beta Unleashed!

Well, well, well… what do ya know? Wrath of the Lich King beta is now upon us. (Well, starting in Europe, anyways. More than likely, the North American version will drop 8AM Central Time.) Players all over Europe should be getting emails (from Blizzard) to be invited to the beta. The NDA has been lifted, which will soon mean an avalanche of information. Oh, and of course there are patch notes and forums to be read. WOW Insider has you covered with all new beta HERE. Read the rest of this entry »

You know, I love professions! Going way-back when I was just a level 10 undead mage n00b playing WoW for the first time, I quickly learned I could make my own clothes and make money skinning monsters. Of course, nowadays on Kibibi at least, I don’t use my professions as much as I used to. A bag here, new gear there. Yet, do I wish we could get more out of our professions? Don’t QQ For Outland

With Wrath almost in beta, the hype is reaching hysterical levels for some players just itching to see new content, updated abilities, etc. Though, it makes you wonder just what will happen to Outland once Northrend becomes the focal point for most players? Think of all of those dailies we’re doing in Quel’Danas and all across Outland… will they become ghost towns? Read the rest of this entry »

Something else that was discussed at the World Wide Invitational 2008: Gear Resets. To everyone in the best-possible gear in the game, they are two terrible, awful words. When TBC came out, the gear reset was quite huge. The greens that you picked up when you first went through the portal were much better than any gear obtained in Azeroth.
