A Fresh, New Home!

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News

Today, thanks to a lot of hard work by Sinfall, ECC now has a new site and forums. Squeaky clean and ready to go. For all of our members, make sure you re-register with your main character’s name. As you can see, it doesn’t really effect the blog though. For now, I’m sticking with the same theme. However, many of the links that went to the old forums, are now permanently broken. Once the links get fixed, I’ll edit the posts. (Which, will be quite a few, LOL!) Again, special thanks to Sinfall for giving us a new home!!!

Welcome New Members!

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News, Member Watch

I don’t do this as often as I should, but I wanted to welcome the recent influx of Laurowene’s Minions new members that have primarily come from another guild to merge into Ex Cinis Cineris! I’ve had a lot of fun getting to know all of you, and running a few raids. I hope all of you get comfy in your new home. Read the rest of this entry »

ECC ALMOST Gets Gruul!

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News, Raid Progression

Bah! We ended up getting the bitch down to 1%! (He actually probably less than that, even.) In the end, we called it shortly after 11PM. Although we walked out of the instance without a head of Gruul, we learned a lot about the fight, and just how well some inexperienced players can come together and mesh well with us. Gruul’s Lair 1/2 Cleared!!!

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News, Raid Progression

Even I had some doubts as to whether or not we’d even get to start this raid, let alone down the first boss. Never the less, we got 25 well-geared players and headed into Candy Mountain Gruul’s hole in the mountain. While we didn’t actually clear everything, we can damn-close and I’m very proud our guild was able to quickly learn from our mistakes and improve on every wipe. (Oh, there were many wipes to be had, too!) Read the rest of this entry »

Adam @ WoW Insider talked about raiding members needing to read about the boss fights, to get a better understanding of what needs to be done. (And, that his guild apparently has some consequences if they don’t.) They guild master apparently goes through the trouble of making a ‘test’ for his raiders to see if they have done their reading or not. If they haven’t, they’re not allowed to raid. I’m not sure if that would work with our guild or not. Let me go over the requirements we have. Read the rest of this entry »

Our First Foray Into Zul’Aman!

Posted by: Kibibi   in Events, Guild News, Raid Progression

Oh, how time flies sometimes! One minute our guild is cautiously exploring Karazhan, the next we’re working on two teams in one week. (With a few bumps along the way.) Last night, our guild had another first: Zul’Aman. Though of course, the team didn’t quite get the third boss down, but the fact that they went in as (almost) total n00bs and still managed to get as far as they did amazes me!

Hats-Off to Daynar, Laurowene, Vicsalve, Grimwold, Anarche, Cantara, Ronzily, Rhyer and Felidae! From what I heard, you guys (and gals) did a wonderful job working together! Special congratulations to our wonderful Raid Officer Celetaman (Kryjiana), for tireless leading all of us to new content! I doubt we’d even get there without your guidance!

We’ve had quite a few new members recently join up. I’d like to take a moment to welcome them, again, into our wonderful family! (Though, I’m sure some of them have already been showered with ‘welcomes!’.) I’m going to try not to turn this into an advertisement for our guild, but I really just wanted to talk about a few things… Read the rest of this entry »

LF Tanks & Healers

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News, Member Watch, Raid Progression

ECC is not a full-time raiding guild by any means, but we do run Kara instances once a week. We’ve cleared out the instance a few times, and we have plenty of DPS, but we’re currently short on healers/tanks. At this time, we’re often limited to just one group a week. If we had more healers and tanks, we could run more than one group and/or progress to new content. So, if you’re looking for a friendly/casual guild that also likes to raid on the side, take a gander at the recruitment section on our forums. (We’d love to have you!)

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News, Member Watch

This past Sunday, after a short journey across the lands of WoW, ECC inducted four new guild members into our ranks of Veterans! Congratulations go out to Rhyer, Gwiddich, Cantara and Lapsis! Your dedication to the guild has indeed not gone on unnoticed!

Kibibi Hit 70!!!

Posted by: Kibibi   in Guild News, Kibibi's Korner, Member Watch

At approximately 10PM, Central Standard Time, Kibibi finally, FINALLY, reached level 70! *Takes a moment to do the ‘happy dance’ in my office chair.* Immediately after I hit 70, I spent my last talent point, and experienced my first post-70 consumer shock, my snowy-white gryphon. (Oh, how I exploded with excitement!) Now, I’m just basking in the after-glow of it all… Read the rest of this entry »
