Mike Schramm from WOW Insider asks for the Breakfast Topic: Is the game being dumbed-down?
Patch 2.3 brought many changes, like ‘glittering’ quest objects, exclamation points on your map, faster leveling, etc. In essence, Blizzard was telling us, “We want you to get to the higher-end content faster!” The next patch will bring us mounts at level 30, to make leveling even easier. That seems to be the trend lately, and I have to say I agree with it all the way. Read the rest of this entry »
If you haven’t already heard, there’s a new patch in the works. Among the changes, players will be able to obtain their mount at level 30, instead of level 40. I think overall, most players will welcome the changes. After all, with the faster leveling going on, it can only get faster with faster transportation to zip around the zones. WoW Insider had asked how do you level? Do you rush through it, or take your time? Do you just blast through any quests that are available to you, or do you really pay attention to the story lines along the way? After Kibibi just recently hit 70, I can attest it took a very, very long time for her to reach 70. Not that I took the ’scenic route’ though. It took a long time because I got distracted with life and quite a few alts. Never the less, when I buckled-down and went to work, I churned through the quests as fast as possible. Would I have changed that though? Read the rest of this entry »
