
Mike Schramm from WOW Insider asks for the Breakfast Topic: Is the game being dumbed-down?
Patch 2.3 brought many changes, like ‘glittering’ quest objects, exclamation points on your map, faster leveling, etc. In essence, Blizzard was telling us, “We want you to get to the higher-end content faster!” The next patch will bring us mounts at level 30, to make leveling even easier. Usually, when I think of the phrase, “It’s Only A Game,” that conjures up thoughts that I shouldn’t stress myself out over WoW. There’s always going to be another chance at something, even if that chance may take a while. I often say that to myself to make sure I don’t kill myself over something that, when it boils down to it, isn’t that big of a deal. Time to comment on another WoW Insider post, this one if Blizzard should over-haul the graphics engine? I think it’s one of those topics that get thrown up every so often, and more frequently with expansions coming out. I think I have to concur that the ’super-realistic’ games these day are indeed pretty nice to look at, but aren’t always as fun as WoW. (In my humble opinion, at least.) WoW Insider was commenting on what we may find at BlizzCon this year? They were, briefly, talking about how there’s a possibility that the next expansion plans may be announced. (Though, I doubt it.) WoW Insider once again asks a good question: Should Blizzard steal character customization ideas from other MMORPG’s? Ideas that have been listed were: (1) Last Names, (2) Cosmetic Outfits, (3) More Titles, and (4) More Character Customization. So, should Blizzard implement these ideas, or not?
